5 AI Tools To Help With Your Job Search (Or With Helping You Quit)

“AI is going to replace our jobs.”

That’s all the talk these days around artificial intelligence. But, what if I told you AI tools could actually help you find one, too?

For example, about 46% of the 2, 145 job seekers surveyed by Resume Builder said they’re using ChatGPT to write their resumes and cover letters.

Now, that’s just one idea. There are a ton more ways you can use AI for your job search.

Read the full article here to see how career-related tools like LinkedIn are adding AI features to their products, and how you can use them to:

  • Prep for interviews

  • Draft messages to hiring managers

Unpopular Opinion: Meetings Might (Actually) Be A Good Thing

Shopify announced they were giving their employees a new plug-in that syncs up their calendars and attaches a dollar amount to each meeting of more than two people earlier this month.

The amount is based on the attendee’s hourly salary and the meeting’s length.

This is meant to try to keep workers out of meetings so they can “get shit done.”

Now, Shopify isn’t the only company attempting to cut out meetings. Meta, Atlassian, and Clorox all have no-meeting days on their calendar.

But here’s the thing.

Meetings might (actually) be a good thing. Especially for companies with a lot of remote workers.

Why?

Because they give us an opportunity to talk and connect. And right now, more than ever, this is important because loneliness is the new epidemic in America.

  • The importance of cultivating originality

  • Finding reliable business advice in today’s age

  • The importance of learning through experimentation

  • The importance of a select set of core ideas or key values for more effective decision-making in a sea of options

  • And so, so much more!
